With a desire to do things differently, I founded Diverse Home Solutions in 2023 with the aims of building relationships with the LGBTQIA+ and the greater community abroad. Having a background in carpentry, woodworking, and remodeling and a little bit of entrepreneurship, I have found this to be the most rewarding adventure I’ve ever begun.

My team and I can do a large number of things, but our focus is primarily on carpentry, fencing/decking and bath remodels. 

Woodworking has always been in my family. My grandfather and my Father both enjoyed woodworking in their past time, and eventually, the passed that trait down to me! Heck, I even have a part time furniture restoration business and small collection.

In my youth, I enjoyed woodworking in the Boy Scouts (even built benches for a park as my Eagle Scout project) and high school trade classes. I guess you could say I’ve always been handy!

My first taste of remodeling came in my young 20s, when by chance I apprenticed for an older tradesman doing predominantly bathroom remodels, but also flooring and even finish carpentry. I worked along side him for a few years before going back to the car business.

Eventually, I had enough with the long hours and lack of reward from the auto industry, so I found myself working for a landscaping company doing fencing. Fortunately, my passion remained woodworking and carpentry all throughout my car sales career, so the transition was an easy one.

Early in 2023, I realized there was a need for someone in the queer community who did home improvement. I also realized how I wanted to see things done. I had a vision! With the values of treating customers like family, always keeping them up to date on projects, respecting customers homes like they were my own, and being someone customers could feel comfortable with in their own home, I created Diverse Home Solutions.
